Postdoc and PhD opportunities
Our lab is a supportive and collaborative environment. We have weekly lab meetings, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate within our lab and with the broader scientific community both nationally and internationally. We are working in an exciting area of research, and I am looking for talented and dedicated young scientists to work with. For more information inquire via email.
A 2-year postdoc position with the possibility of extension is available. Postdoc will work in close collaboration with a PhD student and another postdoc to understand the loss of pigmentation of cave organisms. If you are interested feel free to inquire with dr. Bilandzija.
Undergraduate students – positions sporadically available
If you are interested in doing a research project in our lab feel free to inquire with dr. Bilandzija. We accept students interested in provost award projects (rektorova nagrada) and final thesis projects (diplomski rad), among others.
Undergraduate researchers will be paired with a graduate student or a postdoc researcher, and will have the opportunity to take part in all aspects of lab life: join the weekly lab meetings, learn diverse methods, participate in lab animal maintenance as well as experimental and field work, and eventually execute their own research project. Full training is provided at every step.
Previous experience is welcome but not necessary. The only prerequisites are enthusiasm for science and a good work ethic. Previous successful undergraduates have gone on to co-author manuscripts, present at national and international meetings, win awards, and join the PhD programs in the country and abroad.
