Mateo and Helena attended EMBO workshop Epigenome inheritance and reprogramming in health and disease in Split, Croatia, where Mateo presented a poster entitled The role of epigenetics in plasticity and the evolution of cave adaptations in Astyanax mexicanus. While presenting the data he also put out the potential directions with regards to his future experiments where he gained some new insights from other experts in the field. Along with hearing some great lectures about epigenetic research they also made some new potential collaborations and connections.
