Ph.D. student Magdalena attended EMBO's Hands-on course in genome sequencing, assembly, and downstream analyses held from 4-10 September at Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. The course covered both theoretical and practical know-how of working with genomes - from library preparation and Nanopore sequencing to assembly and annotation. As a part of the course, Magdalena also presented a poster on the work she is doing on cave mollusks.
